Quick Quiz
Where do you change your child's safety settings? Log into your parent account → Settings → Parental Controls (PIN required). Also available from the Roblox app on your phone.
What should your child do if someone makes them uncomfortable? Block the user (profile → three dots → Block), report them (Report Abuse → reason → submit), and tell you. Blocking isn't snitching — it's how the platform stays safe.
Who should know your Parental PIN? Only you — or another trusted parent/guardian. Not your child, not their friends, not their older sibling.
If Something Goes Wrong
- Stay calm. If you panic, they won't come to you next time
- Listen first. Let them explain before you respond
- Block and report the user or experience together
- Check settings. Could a control have prevented this? Adjust if needed
- Reassure them. They did the right thing by telling you
Talk Together
Keep It Current
- Check settings quarterly — new controls appear regularly
- Revisit as they grow — what's right at 8 may not be right at 12

Every parent with a child on Roblox should go through this.

I just did this Roblox safety walkthrough with my kid — 25 minutes, you do it together, your child teaches you about Roblox while you set up parental controls. Free and worth it.
Text, email, WhatsApp, or your school's parent group chat.
