Mission 16: Polish & Publish a Feature Mini-Game (30 minutes)

Students pick their favourite mini-game to feature for the class launch party. Only one game can be featured.

Before Building — Class Brainstorm

Discuss with the class:

  • What are some things you loved on other teams' servers?
  • What things might you want to build for your game?
  • How can you make your feature game even more fun?

Music tool in action — adding sound to a prop

Adding Music

  1. Open build tools
  2. Click the Music tool
  3. Select the part/prop you want to add music to
  4. Select a music track from the menu, then click to apply
  5. Adjust settings:
    • MinDistance — how close the player needs to be for music to start playing
    • MaxDistance — how far away the player needs to be for music to stop
  6. Students can preview music by clicking the play button in the music menu

Adding Buffs

  1. Click the props icon to open the props menu
  2. Click Buffs
  3. Select the buff you want and click Buy/Place

Saving Custom Models

Created an awesome model with parts? Save it for reuse:

  1. Open build tools
  2. Click the disc icon (save)
  3. Highlight the model you want to save
  4. Click Save

Listing Items in the Creator Marketplace

Want to sell your custom model to other players?

  1. Open the props menu and press the Custom tab
  2. Select the model you want to sell and press List
  3. Give your model a name and a price
  4. Press the green List button

Taking Screenshots for Creator Journal

Throughout camp, students take screenshots to record their progress:

  1. Click the camera icon (top left of plot)
  2. Click the green camera icon when ready to take the screenshot
  • On tablets: saved to device gallery
  • On computers: saved in Photos in a folder called "Roblox"
