Students join the server but their plot or world doesn't load — they see an empty plot or nothing appears.
Symptoms
- Student joins and stands on their plot
- Their previous builds don't appear
- May show as empty plot or stuck loading
- Can affect one student or everyone on a server
Possible Causes
- DataStore load failed silently (check for DataStore errors in logs)
- Student is on the wrong save slot
- Server is under memory pressure with too many builds loaded
- Network timeout during build data download
- Student joined wrong server (different Buzzy code)
Workaround
If one student:
- Have them rejoin the game
- Check they're using the correct Buzzy code for their team
- Check their save slot — Settings > Save Slots, make sure the right one is selected
If all students:
- The server may be overloaded — have everyone leave
- Create a new Buzzy code and have everyone join fresh
- Their saved work should still be there when they rejoin
If builds are permanently lost:
- Check the student's RegionsData in the diagnostic admin panel
- DataStore version history can help recover recent saves
